The popular ukraininan artist Konstantin F. Bogaevsky was born in one of the oldest famous Ukrainian city of Feodosia in 1872. In adolescence he went to St. Petersburg for higher education. In developing the talent of the future landscape a big role played his teacher, ukrainian landscape painter Arkhip Ivanovich Kuindzhi. He took a talented student of the Art Academy to his training in the workshop and gave him a way of life. Bogaevsky traveled to Europe, studying the styles of European artists and direction of contemporary art. His creativity devoted to scripture classical crimean landscapes influenced by famous painters of Renaissance, such as Durer and Mantegna. He had the typical style with special illumination of the sky by using patches of the light and sun with long rays. Painter participated in the exhibitions "World of Art” and others. Because of it's paintings from the "Cimmerian cycle" he will forever imprinted itself in the Cimmerian school of painting as a prominent russian landscape painter. Cimmerian art school
